Review of Evernight

Vampires! For starters, I absolutely love vampires, so any book that contains vampires pretty much has my full attention and temporary devotion (devotion while reading, that is). This book is similar to the House of Night series-a secret and secluded school that vampires attend. I'm thinking resemblance, right?

I found everything absolutely satisfying until the very last page … I felt cheated! Ah, what happens next? Annoying, annoying, annoying. Where's the sequel? Honestly, I need to read it right about now, because I am slowly losing sanity. An interesting comment: Before I started Evernight I liked the cover, but now that I have finished it, the cover looks boring and unworthy sort of. The book needs a more fantastic cover, vibrant colors, a sensuous image, something.

So, basically, the beginning was good, the middle was better, and the end was annoying, but good nonetheless. What I love is the sudden switch of the storyline halfway through the book. One second kissing, the next blood. Intense. There's humor and drama and romance and loads of other delicious brilliance. I recommend this book wholeheartedly, but also urge you to read the House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. If you like one, you'll like the other.
